A Little
Bit About Us...
Anne:
After
having lived in Washington and California, Anne's folks Byron and Marguerite
Doneen settled in the Portland, Oregon area where Anne graduated from
Wilson High school. After graduation Anne continued on to college at Washington
State University, receiving a BA in Education in 1963. Anne taught elementary
school both in California and Oklahoma. When Richard's veterinary clinic
became busy she retired from teaching and went to work at the clinic.
During this time she kept up with their three children; Amanda, Kristine
and Richard Duane. She remained working at the clinic as the "good gal
Friday" until the time of the sale in 1993.
Richard:
Richard
is a native Oklahoman raised on a dairy farm. He spent four years in the
United States Air Force before entering college and veterinary school
at Oklahoma State University. Graduating in 1970 with a Doctor of Veterinary
Medicine, Richard worked for the Arkansas State Veterinary Pathology laboratory
for one year before opening his small animal veterinary practice in Bartlesville,
Oklahoma. He continued his practice at Madison Pet Clinic until the time
of the sale of the clinic in 1993.
